Ohio Department of Education Graduation Requirements:
Students must earn at least 20 credits (some schools require more), while also earning at least 18 points or more on the state End of Course Exams.
The credit requirements are as follows: must earn at least 4 credits of Math, 4 of English, 3 of Science, and 3 of Social Studies.
These End of Course exams are in the areas of Algebra, Geometry, English I and II, Biology, Government, and American History.
The aforementioned exams are scored on a scale of 1-5; 7 tests with a maximum of a score of 5 is potential for 35 total points, and students must earn at least 18 total to fulfill the requirement.
Tips to Succeed in the Classroom:
Have good attendance, go to class
Do your work, whether at home or at school
Turn in your assignments on time
Give some effort, doesn’t need to be 110%, but give effort
Ask questions and ask for help, odds are someone else has the same question
Be respectful, you never know who may be watching
