On Tuesday night Rossford traveled over to Maumee for an out-of-conference matchup, and the result was a 60-29 victory for the visitors. Here is who stood out in this midweek contest:

2020 G/F Ethan Dewese (Rossford) – Had a complete game finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds in helping his team to victory. Runs the floor very well, hustles, brings effort and energy. Rebounds at a very high level and can handle the basketball. Can score it spotting up or off the bounce, and can do so at all three levels. Not afraid to defend and get physical out on the perimeter or in the paint on the defensive end. A very solid and fundamentally sound senior prospect.

2021 PG CamRon Gaston (Rossford) – The true ‘heart over height’ point guard who brings a bit of finesse to go along with some swagger out on the floor. Smooth with the basketball in his hands and has the ball on a string. Crafty and tough around the rim, uses his quickness and athleticism to create for others and himself on offense. Scrappy as a defender where he can cause problems and fits for opponents. Beats others to spots, has quick hands, communicates, and is a competitor. Really a joy to watch run the show for his team.

2020 C/PF Garret White (Maumee) – Wasn’t his strongest showing but still proved why he can be one of the more promising big man prospects in Northwest Ohio. Continues to improve as a scorer and finisher in the paint. Went to some savvy moves and can score it with his back to the basket on either block. Strong presence rebounding the basketball. Passes well and sees the floor out of the post. Improves in some form or fashion with every showing.

2022 G Ben Morrison (Rossford) – Led all scorers in this one with 16 points, and came about it with great efficiency. Scored on multiple easy ones because of his understanding of spacing, ability to make hard cuts to the basket, and reading the defense. Is a threat on the perimeter where he is a able to knock down jumpers or find open teammates. Moved the basketball well when he handled it, rebounds, and always seemed to find his way around the ball. Definitely one of the younger prospects in the area to keep an eye on.

Others who stood out: David Walker (Maumee), Jamari Croom (Rossford), Mike Pacer (Maumee).
